Teri England runs Red Fox Equestrian, a busy competition and schooling yard in Nottinghamshire. Red Fox Equestrian specialise in producing young sports horses and sports ponies for the competition environment. Set on a beautiful arable farm, there is plenty to offer the young horse. Teri has been a client of Sune du Toit & Associates for many years and we are delighted to have Teri, and her horse Tique, as part of our sponsored team.
This is what Teri had to say about Sune du Toit & Associates:
"As a Company Director I work full time as well as running Red Fox Equestrian where we educate and train young competition horses for UK breeders.
I have used Sune's services now for over 8 years and she's my first port of call when I'm unsure and need an experts eye on the horses.
I have owned Tique from a 2 year old and Sune has looked after her since she was a 5 year old. Tique and I went to the BD Summer Nationals when she was just 4 and since then have stepped up the ladder reaching PSG last year. However, Tique and I also competed British Eventing and reached the BE Championships as a 4, 5 and 6 year old as well as competing at the Burghley Young Event horses finals as a 5 and 6 year old. She is actually a very special mare. Together with the complete support team around us from coaches to physio to saddle fitter to grooms we've learned huge amounts and have had a great deal of fun on the journey. Sune's sponsorship and support is a great benefit to us and she is very much a major part of our success as she keeps both Tique and I on the competition road."
Sune du Toit & Associates have been looking after Team Taylor's horses for over 7 years. During the early days, Sarah and Claire were running a schooling and breaking yard with a strong reputation for gaining the best out of troubled, young or misunderstood horses. These days, TT (As they are affectionately known) have horses for pleasure. Claire works as a supervisor within the care industry and Sarah is my PA and a freelance content writer. Between them both, they have a small team of horses, who are aimed at a variety of disciplines, from BS Show-Jumping to affiliated showing.
"Sune has been looking after our horses for more years than we can actually remember and she is always our first port of call for when we feel a horse needs a physiotherapy session. While we were producing horses, we came across a lot of horses who had lost their way, were 'difficult' and misunderstood and unfortunately with that, usually comes physiological problems. I have yet to come across a horse in our care who has not responded positively to the treatments that have been given to them.
Currently we have an 18yr old mare, who does literally everything from affiliated showing to hunter trials, to BS Club Show-Jumping to dressage. An RoR horse; My Oh Mount Brown, who we have been re-schooling for BS and hopefully BE, in 2018. Reel Classy, another RoR, who has bred a foal after a successful showing and BE career and a couple of youngsters, who will receive the same fabulous care as the older horses have done.
I am proud to be sponsored by Sune, as feel that we can bat ideas about, regarding a horses schooling or re-habilitation regime and we love that every horse is treated as an individual. Without Sune's help and support we feel our horses would not perform at their best, after all, winning results don't come from unhappy horses.
